Dr. Kate Sahafi has spent her professional life dedicated to giving her patients the highest level of quality dental care while focusing on both long-term health and aesthetics.
 
Veneers/Crowns, Bridges, Natural Looking Fillings, and 1-Hour Power Teeth Whitening are only some of the procedures that Dr. Sahafi uses to create beautiful smiles that last a lifetime.
 
Dr. Sahafi earned her Doctorate of Dentistry’s Degree at the University of Lille II, France, in 1996. She earned her postgraduate degree from UCLA and completed her training in Cosmetic Dentistry at the UOP in San Francisco.
 
Dr. Sahafi has earned her clinical expertise in the field of Advanced Functional Aesthetics from the world-renowned Las Vegas Institute which trains the top 1% of dentists worldwide.
 
In 2009 Dr. Sahafi attended a mini-residency program in Sleep Apnea directed by Dr. Dennis Bailey and Dr. Merill at the Craniofacial Pain Department of UCLA School of Dentistry. There she learned how to diagnose and treat patients suffering from sleep apnea who are intolerant to CPAP (Please the Sleep Apnea page for more details).
 
Dr Sahafi finished a mini-residency in dental acupuncture in 2023 at UCLA making her one of the very few dentists in the US to be able to administer acupuncture to help her patients with different dental conditions.
 
In her relentless effort to provide the best quality dental care to her patients, she continuously hones her skills by investing tens of hours in continuing dental education courses.
 
Dr. Sahafi is an active member of the American Academy Of General Dentistry.

More About Dr. Farokian
Dr. Farokian has been involved in dentistry most of his adult life. After attending dental school at Loyola University in Chicago, IL, he served a one-year General Practice Residency at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago and then completed an Oral Surgery Externship at the University of Illinois, Chicago. He subsequently opened his private practice in Naperville, Illinois. He was fortunate to work and serve this community in the suburbs of Chicago for over 20 years until 2020, when he and his family moved to Newport Beach to be close to family and establish long-term roots.

Dr. Fadavi is an Endodontist with more than twenty five years of experience in the field of dentistry. Dr. Fadavi is dedicated to providing you and your family with the highest quality dental care possible. Her twenty five years of experience in the field of Endodontics has made her a highly qualified Endodontist.

Dr. Fadavi received her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree in 1999, following that she obtained her Master and Post-Doctoral certificate in Endodontics in 2002, all from Boston University School Of Dental Medicine.

She is a member of American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Los Angeles Dental Society and American Association of Endodontics.

Meet Our Periodontist
 
We are glad to introduce Dr. Pichak Kelk DDS DABP as a member of our team here at Dover Dental. Dr. Kelk is a Board Certified Periodontist and Dental Implant Surgeon. She has 3 years of post-doctoral training in Periodontology beyond dental school. She has also completed 15 months of Fellowship in Dental Implant Surgery at Loma Linda University. She is specialized in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal or gum disease, treatment of oral inflammation, performing cosmetic periodontal procedures such as cosmetic soft tissue/gum grafting, treatment of gingival recession and bone regeneration as well as implant surgery. For the past 20 years, Dr. Kelk has focused her practice on Periodontal and Implant surgery.
 
Dr. Kelk‘s Educational Background
 
Dr. Kelk received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Tehran University followed by a Fellowship Degree in Dental Implants from Loma Linda University Dental Implant Department. She then did her specialty training at the Advanced Periodontology Department at Loma Linda University and became a specialist and has been in practice since 2000.
 
She is currently a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. She was originally Board Certified by the American Board of Periodontology in 2004 and has been recertified twice since then. Dr. Kelk has previously served on the Dental Board of California onsite examiner for conscious sedation for many years.
 
Dr.Kelk currently serves as a clinical faculty at the Advanced Periodontology Program at USC Dental School and she trains future periodontists with their surgical skills.

She graduated as an RDH from SJVC in 2009 and obtained her RDHAP certificate from UOP in 2015. She's grateful to be able to help and educate people to improve their oral health and prevent oral or systemic diseases. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and leading an active and healthy lifestyle. She's into yoga, skiing, and swimming.

With nearly 20 years of experience in dental hygiene, Tisha brings warmth, expertise, and a passion for patient care to our team. Married with three grown children, she jokes that her favorite “child” is her dog, Toby, who has a special place in her heart. Tisha’s love for travel and adventurous spirit make her an expert not only in dental care but also in discovering the world’s best cuisines! Her dedication to her patients is matched only by her love of good food and new experiences. She looks forward to making every visit comfortable, informative, and enjoyable.

Darcie, our dedicated office manager, graduated from California State University, Fullerton, with a degree in Public Relations. With a background as Dr. Farokian’s office manager, she brings a wealth of experience and is excited to collaborate with Dr. Sahafi. Known for her exceptional organizational skills and warm, welcoming demeanor, Darcie is passionate about creating a smooth experience for our patients. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, staying active with Pilates, and cherishing moments with her husband, two children, and their two dogs, Koa and Haole.

Christine graduated from The College of Lake County (Grayslake, Illinois) with a degree in dental assisting and has been in the dental field for over 30 years. She moved to Southern California 4 years ago from the Chicago area where she raised her 2 children. Christine and her husband love exploring California, especially the state parks and beaches.

Miriam has two years of experience as an RDA working and living in the Newport Beach/Costa Mesa area. She enjoys being able to be part of the magical transformational process of getting peoples smiles looking and feeling their best. In her spare time, she enjoys living a health centered life, hanging out with her husband and family. Some of her hobbies are golfing, Pilates, and rowing.
